Anaerobic :
Anaerobic exercise is a workout with high intensity and is performed in small bursts of time. While oxygen is used as the main fuel source for aerobic exercise, glycogen is used while exercising anaerobically. Anaerobic exercise produces lactic acids which can cause discomfort, which is why anaerobic activities are preformed in short bursts. The benefits of Anaerobic exercise include the increase of muscle mass, which allows for the easy burning of calories in a body. Anaerobic activities also help to build endurance in fitness levels. People who perform anaerobic activities an a routinely basis are more likely to have stronger bones, faster metabolism, larger strength and balance, and improved joint health. Anaerobic exercise can also have an improvement on ones self image. |
How to start:
A great way to start an anaerobic exercise routine is to jump rope if you have one at least once a day. Perform fast bursts of jump roping every day will help you get started in anaerobic fitness. Head to your local gym that includes weight lifting machines and use them. Always start low and work your way up when weight lifting to avoid injury. You can also perform sprints down the street and then back to your house. Examples of Anaerobic Exercise: Anaerobic exercise basically includes all high intensity workouts over short bursts of time.
